Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia met NATO Deputy Secretary General

 

First Deputy Defense Minister of Armenia Davit Tonoyan met NATO Deputy Secretary General, Ambassador Alexander Vershbow today at NATO headquarters.

According to Armenian Defense Ministry press service, Davit Tonoyan presented the details of the aggression Azerbaijan conducted against Nagorno-Karabakh in early April, partucilarly planned attacks and arguments proving violations of the international humanitarian law during the attacks.

The Deputy Minister noted that the right of self-determination of NK cannot be annulled by use of force. He reaffirmed that Armenians around the world are mobilized and will defend that right through any means.

Davit Tonoyan stressed that the people of NK have a right to defend themselves and improve their safety environment.

Alexander Vershbow appreciated the current level of Armenia-NATO relations and expressed a hope that they will maintain the development dynamics.

Davit Tonoyan will participate in the discussion of Armenia-NATO Planning and Review Process on April 22.
