NATO Assessment Mission visiting Armenia

 

NATO Assessment Mission is in Armenia to evaluate the implementation of Armenia’s Individual Partnership Action Plan (IPAP) with NATO in 2012.

The first round of discussions was held at the Armenian Foreign Ministry on February 25 with the participation of representatives of NATO, the ministries of Defense and Foreign Affairs of Armenia and other ministries.

Issues related to the dialogue with Euro-Atlantic structures, Armenia’s relations with neighbors, democratic reforms, the fight against corruption, human rights provision and border safety, were discussed at the meeting.

In the coming days, the parties will discuss issues of human rights provision in Armenian Armed Forces, economic development and political priorities.

The discussions will last till February 28.
