Armenian Ambassador in NATO Samvel Mkrtchyan visited Headquarter of NATO Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe (SHAPE).

Mediamax was informed in the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry that during the visit Samvel Mkrtchyan met with the Headquarter Head, General Karl-Heinz Lather, Military Cooperation Department Director, General Frantisek Maleninsky.

Samvel Mkrtchyan presented directions of Armenia-NATO cooperation and the prospects for developing relations. The sides touched upon issues of security in the South Caucasus.

NATO representatives highly assessed Armenia’s contribution to NATO operations, in particular, assistance to ISAF forces in Afghanistan, and expressed readiness to assist defense reforms in Armenia.
