Hussein Dirioz: NATO is grateful to Armenia for contribution to the operation in Afghanistan

NATO is grateful to Armenia for 3-fold increase in its peacekeeping mission in Afghanistan.

NATO Deputy Secretary General for Defense Policy and Planning, Ambassador Hussein Dirioz said this in the Information Center on NATO in Yerevan today.

Hussein Dirioz and head of the NATO Force Planning Directorate Frank Boland held a meeting with the Armenian experts, political scientists and students in the Information Center on NATO today.

Hussein Dirioz noted that the NATO delegation held productive meetings in the Armenian Ministry of Defense and Foreign Affairs today.

Speaking on the priorities of the cooperation with Armenia, the NATO Deputy Secretary General underlined the issues of assistance to defense reforms, military education and enhancement Armenia’s of peacekeeping capabilities.
