Armenia – NATO partnership is discussed in Yerevan

 

NATO structures’ representatives delegation was in Yerevan to agree on a new package of partnership objectives with Armenia within Planning and Review Process of Armenia-NATO Individual Partnership Action Plan from February 29 to March 2.

The delegation was led by NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Defence Policy and Planning Jonathan Parish.

Three-day discussion was dedicated to the re-examination of partnership objectives established by 2014-215 document of Planning and Review Process, and agreement of new partnership objectives for the next two years.

Jonathan Parish and the delegation headed by him were received today by Armenian Defense Minister Seyran Ohanyan. They discussed the main milestones of Armenia-NATO defense cooperation, particularly the process of partnership objectives implementation.

Seyran Ohanyan stressed the importance of cooperation between Defense Ministry and NATO, which is utilized in Armenia’s commitments in international security, as well as implementation of defense reforms in Armenia.

NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General highly appreciated the consecutive participation of Armenian troops in NATO peacekeeping missions.
