Relations with other alliances haven't affected Armenia-NATO ties so far

Armenia's relations with other alliances and third countries haven’t had any negative impact on Armenia-NATO relations and Armenia’s participation in NATO’s peacekeeping missions so far.

Representative of NATO Public Diplomacy Division Despina Afentouli said this speaking at the presentation of “Armenia-NATO: Modern History” book at the Information Center on NATO today.

According to her, NATO respects Armenia’s complementary foreign policy.

Answering the question what impact Armenia’s Eurasian integration process exerts on relations with NATO, Despina Afentouli said that it mostly concerns Armenia-EU cooperation and “it is not an issue for NATO”.
