Armenian defense reforms presented in NATO Headquarters

 

The delegation headed by First Deputy Minister of Defense of Armenia Davit Tonoyan took part in the meeting in Political and Partnership Committee +Armenia format in NATO Headquarters.

During the meeting, the Armenian delegation presented the process and prospects of defense reforms to the representatives of the member and partner states of the Alliance. Armenia’s 2014 Partnership objectives have been discussed and agreed upon within the Planning and Review Process (PARP).

At the meeting, the sides stressed the importance of ensuring continuity of cooperation with NATO in defense reforms field.

Davit Tonoyan also met with NATO Assistant Secretary General for Political Affairs and Security Policy, Ambassador Thrasyvoulos Terry Stamatopoulos.

The sides exchanged opinions on prospects of cooperation with NATO as well as international and regional issues.
