Heads of Information and Resource Centers on NATO to meet in Yerevan tomorrow

 

Yerevan will host the meeting of heads of Information and Resource Centers on NATO operating in Armenia, Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine, Russia and Kazakhstan on October 18-19. 

The meeting is organized by the Information Center on NATO in Armenia and NATO Public Diplomacy Division, Mediamax reports. The meeting is aimed at experience exchange and discussion of new tools of public diplomacy. 

On October 18, the participants will meet NATO Secretary General`s Special Representative for South Caucasus and Central Asia James Appathurai. The guests will meet Armenian Foreign and Defense Ministries’ representatives on October 19.

The meeting in Yerevan will host Director and Deputy Director of Information Centre on NATO & EU in Tbilisi Elene Gotsadze and Giorgi Kepuladze, Director of Resource and Information Center on NATO in Almaty Kuralay Baizakova, Director of Information & Documentation Center on NATO in Chisinau Nicolae Vascautan, Head of the Information Centre for International Security in Volgograd Igor Chernov and Director of Center for International Security in Donetsk Valeriy Kravchenko.

William Lahue, NATO Liaison Officer for South Caucasus Region, and Despina Afentouli from NATO Public Diplomacy Division’s Engagements Section will also take part in the meeting.

The Information Center on NATO in Armenia was set up in 2006 by Armenian Center for Transatlantic Initiatives NGO. The operation of the center is supported by the NATO Public Diplomacy Division and Armenian government.
