Process of rotation of Armenian instructors starts in ISAF

 

Yerevan /Mediamax/. The process of rotation of 5 Armenian instructors serving in the Operational Mentor and Liaison Team (OMLT) of the International Security Assistant Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan started today.

The Armenian instructors jointly with the multi-national operational mentor and liaison team of the Educational Center of the German Armed Forces will take part in the pre-dislocation exercises from May 21 up to June and will replace the Armenian inspectors serving in Afghanistan from January 2012, Mediamax reports.

The operational mentor and liaison team aims to train officers for the national army of Afghanistan.

The program is implemented within NATO’s general strategy in Afghanistan which aims to train transferring the mission of ensuring security of the country from the Alliance forces to the authorities of Afghanistan.
